Unique Features :

Build-Master has a new concept of defining the building data as a Project with floors at different levels. Height between levels can vary. Floor-plan is graphically entered. Plan entry for identical floors need not be repeated. Data entry is simple even for a high-rise building.

Graphical Plan Input :

Non Rectangular Slabs - Slabs need not be rectangular, but can be any polygon upto 15 sides. Loads on these slabs are properly transferred on adjacent beams.

Concept of Beams and Members - When a beam is divided into number of parts by cross beams, then each part is called as member. One beam can have 15 such members. Analysis is done in terms of members, but design and drawings are created with respect to beams.

Wall loads calculated automatically - Wall load on beams is calculated by the program,using floor height (after deducting the beam size), wall thickness & wall density. Distribution of Slab Loads - Slab loading is exactly transferred on the adjacent beams as triangular or trapezoidal loads, depending on slab spanning. One-way slab loads can be transferred on two opposite beams or all four beams as desired by the user.

Drawings :

RCC Working Drawings - RCC working plan is generated with column centerline and grid markings. Single line, as well as double line beam layout is available.

Architectural Drawings - Architectural drawings show Walls, Door, Window positions and clear room dimensions.

Drawings in CAD format - All drawings are generated in CAD format, which can be directly read in CAD package.

RCC Design :

Method of Design - Both Limit State and Working Stress Methods are available.

Concrete Age Factor - Can be considered for increasing allowable stresses in concrete.

Design of Columns - Columns can be designed for biaxial moments. Slenderness and minimum eccentricity is checked automatically and accounted for, as additional moments.

Design of Slabs - Continuity conditions of slab edges, is detected from plan data. Slab sunk data is used in Slab design/ Flanged Beam design ( T or L ) and reinforcement steel estimation as well.

Choice of Reinforcement Bar Combinations - User can provide a list of bar combinations for various steel areas. Beam bottom bars / top bars and Column bars have separate lists

Percentage Redistribution of support Moments - Redistribution up to 30% can be considered in the design of beam support sections.

Output format- Design outputs are stored in calculation sheet type and Schedule form as well.

Editing of Design on Plan Layout - Design Schedule Output data of sizes and reinforcement steel are plotted on single plan layout. User can edit bar combinations of any Beam or Slab by selecting i from the plan.

Analysis :

Structure type - Building can be idealized as Space frame. 3D Frames are generated from plan data at each level. Floating columns and split-levels are possible.

Horizontal Loads - Earthquake and Wind Loads are calculated automatically from plan data. They can be applied at C.G. of floor at each level.

Graphical Sketches - Sketch of structure is displayed graphically with applied loads. Deflection, Moments and shear force Diagrams for 3D frames are plotted.

Design Check - User entered design schedules can be checked for adequacy by doing detail analysis.

Estimation :

RCC and Architectural Quantities - Quantities are calculated for concrete, brickwork, plaster, flooring, skirting, Built-up and carpet areas, etc. Reinforcement steel quantity is calculated with diameter wise breakup.

L-B-D format outputs - Quantities are printed in L-B-D format, which are as good as measurement sheets.

3D & BAR Charts :

3D Elevation - Elevation of building is created from plan data in 3D-DXF format, compatible with CAD or 3D Studio. The elevation shows RCC elements as well as walls, doors & windows

Bar Charts - A new concept of Design Bar Charts is introduced in BUILD-MASTER. The design parameters such as beam size, reinforcement steel, and percentage of steel are plotted graphically in the form of bar charts for easy checking of design outputs and schedules
